Could be that I should know the answer to this, but, I have some 4" holes to cut out in several cabinet parts. Is there a way to do the cut out without turning the center portion completely to dust? Thanks

I don't think so Nat.
That's the way it is.

Not sure what software you use but I think you want a "profile" cut.. not a pocket. And the toolpath should be applied inside the vectored 4" circle. This will cut it out and leave the plug loosely inside.
Hope I read your question right.

Nat...
Set the "Pocket Area Thru Cuts" setting to a larger area than the size of the pocket. I keep mine around 4sqin. You can have someone convert to metric!

Gary,
Should it be set to a size smaller than the pocket? I just checked and it's set at a very large number.
Keep up the antics and I've beat you with my metric hammer!

Nat...
I may have said that slightly different than I meant. What I mean to say is set the area. Mine is 4 sqin to keep them from getting sucked off the table by the dust collection. All smaller will be pocketed, all larger will be profiled. Sorry for the confusion.

Nat..
No problem. And to prove how easy metric is... thats 2580.64 mm^2. Lots easier than... oh yea, four.
