My problems with paint mask lifting on the edges are a thing of the past. Thanks to a recent post on this forum I tried their suggestion. A thousand thanks to the original poster. I brought the sign blanks into the house along with the mask. I let them warm to room temp for a day. Next I Applied the mask and cut. After the 2 coats of paint dried a bit the mask was removed. Wow, no lifting and no paint creep. Some of the carving was only 1/16 between grooves yet the mask held firmly. I guess the cold and mask don't work well together. The signs are HDU and the other is wood.
