View Full Version : My first full sign and I could use some help.

the link below shows the building and the wacky bracket to hang the sign from. the one of the signs I saw hung was a lighted sign that was attached to the frame from one end and a bar went from the opposite end to the top of the bracket.
so is this the best way to mount the sign?
the sign will be a simple black background with sintra letters. so the only real weight will be the background.
the background is what I want to work out. I was thinking of mdo with all the voids filled then two coats of primer and painted with good paint 2 or three coats. a metal bracket on the one end and a metal strip with a hole for the far end support.
I just use 1/4" holes in the sign face and not through holes in the letters to locate them. this is fasten the pocketing.

???? That is one ugly bracket!
I'd talk them into re moving it and using the front of the building with a real nice sign.
If you need to use that contraption, maybe post a better drawing for us to see.

yes it is. but I don't think they can. they want a hanging sign over a flat sign on the face of the building.
