Sandblast sign programing

I am looking for somebody who can produce sandblasting sign programs when I need.
I have a PRT Alpha 96.

What do you mean by "Sandblasting Sign Programs"? Are you looking for design and concepts?

I do not have the program ( Vcarv, EnRoute3 or ArtCam) to make that sandblasting texture..I will do the design and concepts..I need somebody to create the file so I can run on my machine.

Wish I had some good new for you. What I'm thinking you're looking for is a 3D file. This isn't a vector format. You'll need another program to run one of these.

I know where you are coming from. Many of us had the same desires.

I'm not sure I understand what you are looking for, but if Vcarve 4 does what you need to do I would suggest purchasing it. You can download and try it for free. I use it for almost everything now and it does a great job. Hiring someone to do the work sign by sign can quickly add up to the cost of VCP4.

I think what Nick wants to do is have the background texture, woodgrain, made as a perminent file that he can use anytime he wishes.

That's certainly possible, however he will need a program like Machinest to set the carving aspects. Your are correct with the type setting aspect. That's going to be a one up process done by others.

All that said, I believe there have been a few attempts at woodgraining in the vector format. I haven't seen anything, to date, that's very impressive.

I don't see it looking like wood grain, but I have seen several that do look great with the right cutter size and texture settings.

Nick, you might want to look at textureplus.com. They have 2' x 4' x 1/2" foam panels in a variety of textures including some that look like distressed barnboard. Add letters and details to it and your off to the races. Not for every sign but should work for some plus they have many other textures of bamboo, brick etc.
