Number of passes question....

Hi. I was wondering where I can choose how many passes the machine takes for a cut. Right now I am just trying to practice in foam so I don't need the 10 or so passes the software calculates or defaults to. What am I missing here.

divide the thickness of the material by the number of passes youd like to make, eg .75 inch in 3 passes of .25

ok, but where do I enter the value defining 3 passes? Do I enter 0.25 in the stepdown field for the example you gave?

right the stepdown is what you use for how deep you cut on each pass. learn it well it is your friend (G)

When you select your cutting tool click on edit and in the top right hand corner there is a space for stepdown.......enter it there.
