After surfacing the the table with the 1.25" I can see a tiny (0.5mm) ridge at the outside edge of the cut. What is the solve to get the tool to plane properly?

My thanks in advance,
Joe.

you need to square up your spindle/router to the table better. it's as simple as taking a 12" or so stick drill holes in each end one needs to be a rod that will fit one of your collets and the second can be any size. you want one facing up one down. check it up and turn it by hand you want it to touch evenly all the way around.

I think what Steve is describing is a Trammel. Do a search on the forum and you will find the complete answer to your question.

Great guys. Thanks. Evan good tip on the search. Now to get with the tweaking. Easter will be a wash. (for shopbotting that is) ;) Saturday it is.

Norm Abrams would have a great jig for this ...
