Is anyone using Master Cam instead of Cut3d or Partworks 3D? I currently use Cut3D for all of my 3D needs, but I am frustrated. Cut3D always wants to cut the top surface of my material even when it does not need to be cut. Any suggestions?

I've used Mastercam for years on cnc mills and lathes. I now use it for most things on my ShopBot. The learning curve is a little hard but once you know it, it's great. I use Aspire for most of my art projects as it is faster to program and easier to use then Mastercam Art. Mastercam has a pretty steep price tag also.

Carl .. did you have any problem getting a post processor to work with shopbot.. the reading that I have seen seems to suggest that is a bit of a problem..

No problem at all. But I've been writing my own posts for just about as long as I've used Mastercam.
If anyone needs a post e-mail me and I'll share what I have.
