Saving a Z height?

I recalibrated my 0 for my indexer (which is in the center of the chuck, then i recut a 2x6 for a template however i would like to save the Z height in a seperate file as a backup in case i lose the template. I have forgotten how to save (not a cut file) but a coordinate file?

You could add it to the header of your cut file or just create a seperate text file for that.
