With all the lightning problems we have here in FL I've found various things to protect computer and all but never a good rig for protecting my three phase spindle. Just put in a three phase industrial surge protector. Heck we just had a storm that took out all three transformers Sunday night! It was not cheap but certainly cheaper than a new control box and spindle!
I'll put in a shameless plug for my brothers website as he just started selling the line after we installed ours.

BTW, they install parallel on the three phase feeds so installing was easy. I'll post a picture if anyone is interested.
The manufacturer say this unit was designed for CNC equipment.
