Hi all,

After installing this software, my files began cutting strangely. It seems to lose the feed rate after a ramp. As an example, in a finishing toolpath, when coming down off a 3d part, it will not always speed back up to what it is set to. It will start traveling at about .5"/second. This is on a straight line. It seems to be random - one pass will be fine, then the next 2 show this behavior, etc.

Any ideas? Should I just revert to the last beta, which never displayed this behavior?

Thanks and best regards,
Ron

Ron...
If I am doing a customer job, I will use my "last known working" version. I save the betas for when I have some extra time to chase down and see if the problem is repeatable.

Make sure you report to support@shopbottools.com (mailto:support@shopbottools.com) and put beta in the subject line.

sometimes I like playing with beta software but not on my bot. way to risky and mistakes can be expensive.

Thanks guys,

I reverted to beta 22, and all is well - the machine also seems much smoother in operation.

Fortunately, since it was a new install of a beta version, I was running it on some test pieces ;-}

I agree that in most cases, I would not use beta software in a production environment, but the ShopBot 3.6.1 beta 22 version, that works on my machine, has caused no problems, and offers a lot of added functionality over the latest release version.

Thanks Steve, I've reported it!

Best regards,
Ron
