Hi All,

I am looking for recommendations on good quality reputable raised panel door manufacturers as a way to be able to be more efficient with jobs requiring large numbers of doors.

Building them inhouse ensures the highest quality but not necessarily the best price to the customer when budget is a big concern.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Don

I use an outfit named Elias Woodwork out of Winkler Manitoba. They ship north america wide. My shipping is always free on 30 plus door orders. I don't know what their policy is on shipping into the USA. Their prices are very competitive and their customer service is first rate.

Don,

I've used Conestoga for about 8 years and would highly recommend them. Clearly not the least expensive, but the quality and service are excellent. Not once in that time has an order not come when it was scheduled to.

The few times there that were issues, mostly product damaged in shipping, replacement pieces were expedited, and I generally received within the same week.

Large assortment of doors, finishes(excellent quality), options etc.

One large advantage of outsourcing something like this, is the set cost and set schedule/delivery of these components, up front.

I outsource my doors .when i was in montreal i made my own
What to look for make shure there not using pins
you shoul be able to find local or close by avoids a lot of headeaches if you make a mistake

Always ask for quotes before ordering test them with other door manufacting for price let them know your price checking
i pay about 1200 to 1500 per average kitchen in birch

remeber your name is on those doors i only trust 2 door manufacting in my area out of 10

it saves me a huge amount of time

Don,

I'm remembering that you're in WA, Conestoga is in PA, not sure if shipping would be an issue...

Thanks a million everyone.

Has anyone ever worked with a company called Valley Custom Door in WI? I've got one of their brochures and they have all the right words. Just need to verify their words are reality.

Thanks!

I have had very good luck with Harris Door in Georgia - they ship out on time via UPS in foam packed boxes. I have bought 3 batches of paint grade doors with no problems & what I think are good prices and service for small orders

Thanks again everyone!

I was able to find a manufacturer near my neck of the woods. They are a subsidiary of Conestoga. I'm going to give them a try with a couple of doors and see how it goes.

Don,

I looked on Conestoga's site, and noticed they just opened a new door facility in WA. I'm not sure if that's the manufacturer you've mentioned, but if not, it may mean you could buy the doors direct, and skip a level of mark-up.

Keep in mind that you may also qualify for a discount at some level of volume. I've purchased a fair amount of product from them, and get a 20% discount on all orders. It was a somewhat indirect way that we arrived at that percent, but it does factor in.

I work for TaylorCraft Cabinet Door Company in Texas. We ship nationwide with 5 day lead times on standard products, and ship Fed-Ex in 1-3 days depending on your location.

We will beat Conestoga price and quality on Veneer, all woods, mullion, radius, wainscot, standard and fully custom projects.
