We are in the middle of a job that will require several files generated from an Artcam model. We are working with an "Independent" to produce the model and generate code as we do not have the software or expertise in 3D. The first code file has been produced from the model, which does not have any 3D in it, however we are having a great deal of stuttering and what I call noise movements. The consultant and I want to rule out our machine/setup as the problem. We are running a PRT w/Agek upgrade, latest SB software, with minor tweeking to ramping for smoother 3D operation...but again this first file has no 3D, just sweeping arcs. The part is a section of a column base.
I would be very grateful if anyone was willing to quickly run this file as an air cut and tell me how smooth or acceptable/unacceptable you found it to be. The consultant and I are using the service "Sendit" to avoid any possible file corruption. It can be found at http://www.yousendit.com/download/www/TUxrck81YUlTSURIRGc9PQ
Try just the roughing_50 file. After about 3-4 minutes you'll know whether or not its ok...once you reach line 2600.
For those of you willing to take a few moments to help a very frustrated fellow botter...THANKYOU!
Jon
