My used shopbot came with a two wire probe and I've only been able to find wiring instructions for the 3 wire one. Does anyone know which lugs on the bus bar to connect it?
Thanks

White to ground & Black to Input 1.
Do NOT use probe with zzero plate, as they are on the same circuit.

Thanks Brady
The zero plate, which came with my machine, looks home-made. It has a single wire, connected directly to the bus.
The two wire cable for the probe (which I haven't connected yet) is afixed to the z axis and has a Wago connector there, so the probe itself is plugged in only when in use.
DO I need to disconnect the direct-wired zero plate, install a Wago connector to it, and plug it in on the same wire the probe uses? Am I making any sense?
Thanks

I believe mine was wired the way you described where a connector came offf the wire that the plate was wired to and the way I used it was simply to plug the probe in when i needed it and unplug when i didn't and left the plate alone and it worked fine.
I do recall that the wires were wired up incorrectly in the connector to begin with and we figured that out after breaking the probe 2 or 3 times. So before you try it on an object make sure it is breaking connection by touching probe with finger to see if light goes off on console.

You need 2 wires for the probe. One for ground, one for input #1. It would be wise to run new lines back to the control box. The Zzero plate shares the input #1 wire with the Wago connector for the probe. You will essentially take the wire from the Zzero plate & twist it together with the input #1 wire going back to the control box, before inserting it into one of the Wago connector ports. The ground goes in the other port in the connector. It's pretty easy, so don't overthink it.
