has anyone had the speed control failed on there
milwaukee router.
cutting sheets today and notice the speed increased
to full. after the job was finished i notice the speed control was not working stuck at full speed
to be honest i am not impressed with this router.
before i was using a makita and never had a single
problem.
i find the milwaukee is very poorly built compared
to the makita.
i have makita routers in my shop for over 12 years
and never had problems with them.
have others found this?

I have two milwaukees, both of which I have had problems with the speed control and the tachometer. I have many spare parts! I won't buy another one. Which makita do you use?

hi kip. i use the 3.5 hp 3612
they never give up. have not replaced a bearing in 12 years. every year i check the brushes and found
very little wear.
you just have to make up a bracket to get it to fit.

There must be a reason SB uses Porter Cable ... I imagine it has to do with reputation. Issues like that speed control can cost millions in lost sales....
