I had to make some lattice for grid for a ravioli press.
I got to thinking about making the grid in a different shape. Took some drawing to work it out. You can get pretty crazy but it starts to eat up material. The big curve took almost twice the wood as the area it covers. The straight slats had to have the same curve cut into them as the curved pieces so it was laid out as if I was cutting it out of one piece.
The other ones had the curved pieces cut on the cnc and the straight ripped on the tablesaw. Doing the square is dirt easy. Just space liens for the size of the squares you want. Cut a profile on the line with say a ¼” bit then rip them apart at ¼” wide and you’re done.
The curvy pieces are all the same. But I wish I had mirrored some to change the pattern.
