I'm not much of a sign maker so this project had it's challenges for me. It's a sign for a new business opening up in San Francisco. The wood is Ash and the letters are v-carved acrylic, inset into v-carved thru pockets.

The back has a 1/2" clear acrylic layer to allow light to pass thru so that at night the green and orange letters will illuminate from interior spotlighting. I will post pictures of that soon.
The smaller letters presented a real problem as although the acrylic carved fine the wood pretty much blew apart at that level of detail and thinness. It was necessary to have laser cut ash veneer to mask the smaller letters. Not ideal but satisfactory.
The whole thing was sealed tight with many layers of marine varnish.
