Here is a 30 person conference table I designed and built for The International Union of Elevator Constructors corporate HQTRs in Columbia, MD. I don't know if I could have pulled it off without my good and trusted friend Bot.

I was wondering...
Did they reqiure you to be union shop to do the work?
I've lost work before because I'm a non-union shop.

Erminio,

If I tell you...
I do believe that is a very rirgid prerequsite, however I am not, they simply came to me for four (4) "do-able" designs, which I provided, they chose this one and asked er (the Union President) asked me to build it.

It's over 90 feel long, I know the picture doesnt show it very well but the distance between disks is about 14 feet.

There are two different radii. The head radius is 10' and the sides have a radius of 27'. We laid the veneer up in what is called waterfall , in other words as you are seated the grain comes toward you. Also noteworthy is that all of the raised panels are curved to follow their respective radius. All done thanks to some major figuring and the Shopbot.

How do you expect the elevator to work, when you can't even get the people inside that small door! It has to be at least...........2 times bigger.

That's one of the many things I like about the Shopbot, it makes scaleing so easy.
