Hey everyone, well I got my new PRS standard 96 yesterday and have the table and gantry assembled and today I am going to put on the motors and start hooking everthing up. I am flip-flopping about what to do with my table surface. I am going to install the piping and want to build a vacuum table like the one that Daivd Bushbaum has in his sandbox posting but not till christmas break time. I guess I am wondering if I should still glue down the second sheet and then add a third to do the vacuum table or just screw down the second for now?????? If I screw it down how overboard do you go with screws???

I used Spax screws and placed them with 1' spacing in rows 1' apart. The Spax screws are self tapping and the ones I chose are made for MDF. My spoil board is 1" MDF. I left the Shopbot predrill 1/4" holes 3/8" deep. This has worked well for me. I have searched for something to replace them because they are not always readly obtainable.
Actualy these Spax screws are made for the assembly of MDF and when screwed into the end grain will not split it. So far they are the only screws I have found that will not split the MDF when screwing into the end grain.
