Beyond project size differences . . . What are the advantages for either size? What are the disadvantages for either size?

Would you get more flex in the 60" gantry?

Would the 60" make it easier to create methods for securing the material to be cut?

If you can think of any pluses or minuses either way, please let me know . . .

Thanks
Steve

Steve..
We bought the 9660 for 2 main reasons.
1) To be able to handle 60" wide material
2) To have the ability to add the dual Z (which we have done)

There would be no measurable difference in the flex, if any. Experience has shown us that keeping the motion parts properly adjusted makes a great difference.

Other than the fact that it takes up an extra foot of floor space, no negatives that I know of.

I would go for the 60". Baltic Birch is one of my most requested material. Standard size is 5'x5' and I'm constantly ripping the sheets and drawing 2 seperate cutting files.

Go for the 60 - we have the 4' wide and are constantly needing just a little more room.

If you have the $$ and space go for the 60.
