I think they are 6 to 8 weeks out, but you should call them. Sometimes they have demo machines for shows coming up that you can pickup after the show etc... Picking it up yourself shouldn't be a problem.

Bobby,

I ordered a benchtop. Today is my expected delivery day, but I just got a call that it may be delayed until Monday. There is a 4-6 week wait on the benchtops. A full size has a much shorter turnaround. I was going to pick mine up as well, but the problem is you have to pay tax if you do. I think it was 7.75%. It was more cost effective to me to have them ship it. A benchtop comes complete. Between 500 and 600 lbs. Hauling it would be possible as long as you can get it out of your truck. The full size Bot comes unassembled in smaller pieces so unloading is less of an issue.

If you don't happen to own a forklift, you can rent them. Granted, it cost a few extra bucks but it's an option. Some places rent tractors with a fork attachment, check the weight and make sure it can carry it... then plan an additional project for the weekend... you know, like dig up that neighbor's yard who's dog keeps leaving presents in your yard.

Call for the wait time. A 48x96 will fit into a full size pickup, but consider the weight if you have a half ton. I picked mine up, but have a one ton w/ eight foot bed length. It fit with the gate down.

My wait time was around 6 weeks. I had mine shipped via a trucking company thru shopbot and maybe because i'm less than 200 miles away it was actually cheaper than i thought it was gonna be.
If you have it shipped make sure you tell the trucking company to bring it in a truck with a LIFT GATE. This guy had no lift gate and i had to get it off the truck then use the van to pull it up the driveway. Good thing they ship it in a sturdy container.
The container is heavy but the way shopbot makes the shipping containers you can unclip them and take your parts out piece by piece in the driveway and carry to the shop.

Hi guys

A PRS waighs around 1200 lbs the crate will fit in a fullsize pickup , only the rails are in boxes a little longer then 10' and you can take the parts out of the crate once you get it home . you will still have to wait about 4-6 weeks but the wait is well worth it . A freind of mine just got his and we made our first cuts with a PRS Alpha . WOW that is a step up from my PRT ALPHA .
I might sell my PRT alpha to get a PRS alpha.
anyway buying any shopbot is a good decition over any of the other guys out there .
so Bot on
