I am having trouble vectorising a file( mostly words). When I do I lose resolution. I am using this to do an inlay. When I did a preliminary carving it looks very jagged. Doe anyone have .TTF font files for New Century Schoolbook and ITC Zapf Chancery or a good reputable source?
Thanks,
Todd

Todd,
If I need a font I don't have I buy it from fonts.com. They are usually $19 to $24 each

Tod most times you have problems because the pixels or dots that make up a letter bleed somewhat on the original paper.
Try downloading inkscape and vectorizing with it, i find it does a pretty good job.

Try urbanfonts.com they have about 8000 freeware fonts . maybe they will have something you could use

Now I am having issue with them showing up in Partworks 2.5. I copied the open type fonts to my c:\windows\fonts folder. I can open each of the 12 new fonts and they look fine. When I go to my pick list in partworks only three show up with 2 of the three showing a square with an X through it for letters. Any ideas?

Not sure, but PW 2.5 may not support Open Type fonts. Earlier versions of VCP/Aspire didn't either.

PW 2.5 does support Open Type fonts. (At least the ones that I have.)
I know this, because my last project with OT fonts was completed only days before 2.5 was released - what a pain that was!

I emailed vectric and they are looking at the font files. V2.5 does support Open type fonts.
