I have an client who has lost the only existing file of a 2d project I did for her about 6 months ago.
I still have the cutting file. She now wants to add a few line to the drawing.
Anyone have any suggestions on whats the easiest way to add these lines?
The only way I can think of so far is to run the files and locate the X & Y for the added lines.
Any Ideas??
Thanks Brian

Up can convert the cut file into a dxf file and then import it back into Part Wizards. I had to do that a couple of times. The program to do this should be C:\Program Files\ShopBot\ShopBot 3\Bin
and should be called UX_SBP.exe. Hope this helps.

brian,
if you do convert back to dxf like ron said. I normally just use the control software and preview mode. Don;t forget that what it is giving you is the actual toolpath which is the center of the cutter. You need to adjust the lines (offset) them to get the cut shape. Unless of course you machined directly on the vector in the first place.

One thing i experienced when i tried this was that it also created the "jog lines". I don't recall how i eliminated them but someone here told me.

thanks guys
I was able to convert the cut file to a dxf.
It will need some cleanup and a bit of tweeking but still much quicker than the alternatives.
