I would like to carve the scene from vector of the forest and waterfalls (#50239A). Has anyone ever carved on southern yellow pine? If so will it carve without any problems. The pine is clear and 1 3/4" thick.

We've carved yellow pine and it's easy. On the road so gotta go. Carves really nice.

Expect to get some fuzzies, but a light coat of lacquer allows these to be sanded. You may also have an issue with sap or pitch building up on the bits so keep an eye out for burning.

Here is an example that shows the same design that we carved in pine and red oak.

This took about 45-60 minutes at a feedrate of 6ips on xy & z. We used one of Gary Beckwith's wonderful 1/8" ballnose bits.

I was impressed with your speed settings too. What machine do you have?

It is a PRT Alpha 48x48. Remember that with a 3D file it is unlikely that the machine ever really reaches those speeds.
