I know this isn't Shopbot related... but I'm so proud I gotta tell everyone.

My little girl (aged 10) has been growing her hair for more than 3 years now (almost 4). She decided in early 2005 she wanted to donate her hair. This was on her own with not even a mention from us. The requirement is 10" of hair when cut. Well today she got it cut SHORT in order to get 10". Her hair is about 1" long in the back now.

I'm a proud papa! She stuck with it crying at times because it would get tangled. I even told her last year we could have it cut if she wanted, everybody would understand. But she insisted.

Great clips cuts hair for free when you donate.

Too bad more adults don't have the compassion we see in children...

Rob, What your daughter did is beyond her young years.
It is also a reflection of her family.
You should all be extremely proud.

Our daughter did the same thing a few years ago. She had hers cut when she was 16 and had never had it cut since birth. I almost cried when she lost her long blond hair but she was touched by an aunt who lost her hair battling cancer. I agree, kids who have a soft and caring heart should be encouraged a lot more than we do.

Hey Robert, you must be one proud dad. Please tell your daughter that see is an inspiration to us all. I'm sure she knows how much her donation and caring is going to help someone else though a tough time. Sounds like she is going grow up to be quite a kind and caring person of others in need. I hope you do something special to acknowledge her commitment and sacrifice.
