Have any of you guys ever used the blue or pink insulation board as a spoilbord? A guy I used to work for said that his CNC (Chinese import machine, couldn't get it to work for six months...LOL!)salesman suggested it to him. Just wondering. Kip

No...& No...
Pink/Blue insulation foam is about 3-4 lbs/cubic inch density & really not suitable as a spoilboard since it: A) Gives too much, B) gouges and scrapes easily C) Will compress under load.
It is commonly used as a sacrificual board when using circular saws and jigsaws so that you can cut your parts out on the floor. As for a bleeder on a CNC, it is non-porous, and a poor choice for a bleeder board. It is however a perfect material for practicing cuts before you put down your expensive material.

Yeh, That's exactly what I thought, but this guy "knows everything" ;) Thanks for the affirmation Brady. Kip
