Hi guys -
I am curious as to how many 120V circuits you are using for your router. Could you kindly post what you have plugged into what circuit?
For example....
Circuit 1
- Computer
- Monitor
- Controller
Circuit 2
- Routers
Circuit 3
- Dust collector
I am trying to figure out what is really the best set up and I thought that I would ask the guys that know....
Thanks in Advance for your help.....

I have a PRS standard with a 2.2HP spindle:
1) 240V 25A: Spindle
2) 120V 15A: SB
3) 120V 20A: Dust Coll (Harbor Freight 2HP with a real filter)
4) 120V 15A: Vac & Utility
5) 120V 15A: Design Computer, Stereo, other important things. ;-)
Works Great!

1. 120V 20A Router
2. 120V 20A Computer, SB control box
Not using dust collection at this time, easier to get the leaf blower and send it out the back door.

Thanks for the input...
It sounds like there are no real Do's and Don'ts except have some decent power supplied.
Thanks

Mark-
My setup also includes a circuit for an air-compressor. The compressed air drives a pneumatic wrench. All my fixtures are bolted to the table, and I change fixtures very very often and the compressor runs frequently while the router does.
Sometimes I also use the compressed air to blow away chips when the dust skirt is not in use.
And also I run clamp on lights around the router so these old eyes can see what is happening better.
In my case add two 20A 110v circuits to all the ones already listed in the previous posts.

How are you guys, "isolating" your computer, electrically?

Mark..
Electrician installed a dedicated circuit with isolated ground. Then we use a UPS for surge & a few minutes for shutdown.

We installed a dedicated sub panel to the Shopbot location. The control box, spindle, vacuum, and computer
all on separate circuits.
