I am cutting these rectangles that need a curved corner so I have to use a ballnose. the cut is 1" deep and it ILL cut tropical hardwoods to softwoods. what one will have the least tearout?

I'm probably just dense, but why a ballnose for a curved corner?

the corner is curved but also the sides. it is a pocket for a ipod and the sides and corners need to match.1 1/2" diameter bit is perfect for the shape.

Steve,

I'm not sure if I completely understand the cut that you're making, but I've had good luck with bowl cutter bits. I mainly use 1.25" diameter ones and sometimes 0.75" diameter.

Jesada or Razor has them (http://allita.net/Projects/omnicat5/index.php?cat_id=0).

yes a bowl cutter I forgot the name I have some larger ones. I am just making a rectangle cut and I need all of the corners and edges as they meet the bottom to be round.
so I was debating what would cut cleaner on tropicals to softwoods the bowl cutter bit or a ballnose endmill. I could really use a downcut ballnose.
