I didn't see this mentioned in the manual...
After you've mounted the X car on to the rails, the first thing you should do is place clamps at the ends of the X rails.
If you don't, you'll regret it.
I was in the process of aligning the pinon gear on the X2 motor and became so completely focused on the task, I didn't notice I was about to run the gantry right off the rails. It flipped over and knocked the Y car off, I cut up my hand in the process of trying to prevent that much steel from going where ever the hell it wants. I think I've now perfected the Look of Utter Horror(tm) when looking at the newly dismounted Y car sitting upside down a few feet away from the equally inverted X car. *sobs quietly*
My hope is that nothing is bent. One of the horizontal wheels on the Y car no longer correctly grips the rail.
It was perfect when I got it, so I must have bent something slightly when it hit the ground. I won't know for sure until I get it all assembled and do some check cuts.
I'll have to remove it and add some washers to get it to properly grip both the top and the bottom of the Y rail.
