Do I need XP pro to run my bot or is anyone running off XP home Edition. Thanks for any comments.

I'm using windows XP (not pro) and it seems to have no problem. The control software is not a big memory hog. I have no problem.

I think you probably need to have sp2 service pack with xp

it does not matter what version of xp you use. there is little difference in one as far as the bot is concerned. yes you wan the service pack installed so it it is the least buggy.

I have WIN2000NT on a computer that came from someones trash. It's been working.

I actually just installed a touchscreen monitor that was left in a vacant space I demolished... thats a pretty cool addition too.

I use XP..with updated service packs (sp2). Works great.
I started with Vista...when Vista was first released and that didn't work at that time. I reloaded XP and no problems. Would emagine that Vista would probably work now. I downloaded some fixes as my programing computer is a Vista and now ShopBot program runs there just fine.

Any computer suggestions for my design computer, which will be seperate from my bot computer. I am thinking about a lap top for my bot computer. I found a refurb place on E-bay that I would be able to get one for around $300. Would a bigger screen be helpful on my design computer. Thanks for the imput !!!
