Just in time too, cause I have a stack of jobs waiting for it. I've been lining up jobs for weeks!

Unless you are experienced with cnc, i'd take it slow till you get everything figured out. My very first move with the cnc was to accidentaly cut a hole in the plenum board all the way thru to see the floor, so patience (I learned, the hard way) is a virtue. Are you like a little kid the nite before christmas dreaming about your new toy that santa is bringing to you?
Good luck and have fun...

I checked out your website, nice work. I bet you'll have this thing putting us all to shame in no time. :-)

I can't think of anything else. And yes I make mistakes and cut into the table (that is normal for me)
I've read the manuals and I'm ready to assemble. I will document everything with a ton of photos and post it on my blog. I did the same thing several years ago with a Practical CNC. If you want to see a flimsy design look at the the blog photos www.balchsigns.com (http://www.balchsigns.com)
one thing I plan to do, is mount a camera next to the spindle. I want to locate positions optically and check squareness and gantry precision using the camera.

I had thought about the same thing re: the camera. I bought a wireless color camera from walmart for around $59.00 and use it to watch the bot work while it is doing a big carving file. I set up a small monitor next to the tv and keep an eye on it while watching football.
I actually can see the advantage to having a wireless camera say attached to a strong magnet that you just slap onto the side of the router hooked to a monitor so you can position your carriage without having to run back and forth to the carriage to judge position, bump it, run back ,ect. The camera is small self contained and can be powered by a 9volt battery and transmits signal to reciever wirelessly.

I was going to use an old B&W video camera and composite monitor. Wireless sounds good. I'll take run down to Walmart this weekend.
