Something like the preview screen but running simultaneously with the router? I'm just curious, how would you use that?

No... not yet... actually, looking at the machine while it cut is pretty realistic!
Seriously, this feature is not available yet but you could send the suggestion to SB (http://www.shopbottools.com/suggestion.htm).

Jean,

That's a standard function of Mach 3 by Artsoft. It's not available for SB'ers. It's works with G Code.

Dana,

The screen show a host of information and allows some snazzy updates. For example you can see whats been cut and the next item to be cut. It magnifies and rotates with the mouse wheel. The travel speed is controlable as well as spindle speed. With this software you can pause, move the gantry out of the way, change bits, adjust the Z, or do most anything you want. A click of the resume button and it moves back to the last step and continues on. I could go on for an hour. The cost is $165.00

Serious equipment!

David,
On the PartWorks tool bar, click on 'Help', then 'Help Contents' for the tutorial.

Hi David,

The Getting Started with PartWorks Tutorials are available from the SB web site.

I hope this helps,

Hi David,

As Tony mentioned you can download from the website or they should have been installed on your computer when you installed the software. The link to find them is under the Start menu in windows under the Shopbot heading. You will find a folder called Tutorials that contains all 5 tutorials for both PartWorks and PartWorks 3d.
