If you think about it, the mechanical movements located inside the wood structures are probably similar to the mechanical movements inside your little kids favorite baby doll.

If someone had an old moveable doll that the kid has outgrown you could skin it to look like a terminator and see how you might adapt wooden parts to it. Too much work for me...
