View Full Version : Merry Christmas everyone.
It has been a rough year for cabinetry and the construction business as a whole. Last month I sat around and griped about it.
This month I started doing small things for other people (im usually pretty self centered) and it makes my problems not seem very big compared to others. So Im very grateful today. Dunno how I am going to feel tomorrow, but today I am grateful.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
It is the season of giving!

Merry Christmas to all! I'm generally a scrooge (like Jack ;-) but this year I decided to just have fun. I bought a screaming flying monkey (available at thinkgeek.com) and I've been flying the sucker all over the place. After years of turning down invitations I even went to several Christmas parties this year. I talked to everyone and handed out cards and introduced the flying monkey of course. I guess my plan is either to enjoy myself or not be invited again so I don't have to worry about it :-)
At the party this past Sunday I ended up with the 3 and 4 year olds... had a BLAST. I guess that sort of pegs my maturity level.
One more party on Christmas eve with the family... I have TV-B-Gone, Flying Monkey and fake dog poo ready to go.

Merry Christmas, one and all! I'll be road-tripping on Christmas Eve up to Johnson City, TN to see the grandchild. I hope everybody has a safe and merry holiday.
And, since everyone has been trotting out various phrases in a variety of language, I'll add my on words to live by, with a nod to Red Green (who apparently paraphrased the Latin), "ut totus alius deficio lascivio mortuus" (when all else fails, play dead)

I hope no one is offended by this message.
Merry Christmas
He was born in an obscure village, a child of a peasant women. He grew up in still another village, where he worked in a carpentry shop until he was thirty. then for three years he was an itinerant preacher. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never has a family or owned a house. He didn't go to college. He never visited a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where he was born. He did none of the things one usually associates with greatness.
He had no credentials but himself. He was only thirty three when the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. He was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While he was dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing, the only property he had on earth. When he was dead, he was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Nineteen centuries has come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race and the leader of mankind's progress.
All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all of the parliaments that ever sat, all of the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as ONE SOLITARY LIFE.

Happy Holidays all. I get hits on my website every month from Seychelles. It is a small island off the coast of Africa. I think the hits are from the forum. Anyone from Seychelles?
