View Full Version : Problem with Partworks (vcarve) upgrade

I have been running older files and some manual files, and had a chance last night to run some files I had created a month or so ago with PartWorks.

I am getting error messages about "Custom90.sbc" and "Custom91.sbc" missing. I have been able to determine that these use a "my_variables" file for basic sanity checking.

My problem is that I have none of the three files.

Would someone be so kind as to post a copy of the Custom90 & 91 files, and tell me how to produce a "my_variables" file.

I have a nice paying job that uses the files I have created in Partworks, and I would like to be able to use the new software, all parts intact. I like the idea of additional sanity checking.

I have a PRTAlpha, 2004 vintage with upgraded board and recently purchased the latest (Vcarve) version of Partworks (used to be PartWizard), so I have a mix of stuff in my directories.

Any help appreciated.

David...
Those files should be created with the install of almost any one of the newer versions of the software. I would first recommend that method of getting the files into your system. If you cannot install the newer control software, email me and I will send you an OEM version of them.

Thanks for the response.

Evidently, the issue only exists on my design machine. The machine that runs the SB contains all the files, as does the "touch up" machine upstairs in the shop.

The problem isn't with Partworks since it isn't even on the machine that runs the bot.

I will re-install the SB3 software on my design machine and see if it creates the files.

If I had actually tried to run the files on the bot before testing them on my design machine, it would have worked, but I might have wasted a good bit of material in the process :-)

Thanks again,
David

Just let me know. My Bot computer has modified files due to running the "setup". Make sure you delete the shopbot.ini file so that the setup will run.
