Alot of you guys missed the Jamboree & Maker faire. My wife and I had a great time.
I met alot of cool people with Shopbot. I was a couple days late to the actual shopbot jamboree so I didnt get to take much in but I did get to meet Ted, Bill Palumbo (a great help!!) Chris Burns and alot more. There were alot more people but I don remember all the names it was all washed out of my head as soon as I hit the maker fair.
I ran around for 2 days like homer simpson in a gummy bear factory
I didnt realize that alot of the Shopbot employees actually use shopbots. Chris Burns matched decaying existing architectural details and fabricated some reallly cool craftsman style corbels out of high density closed cell dow foam along with matching frieze that wrapped around a historical building. (POST PICS CHRIS)
For years I have been making Tesla coils, inventing new cnc's, replicating Biefield Browns lifter technology, outputting midi's to various electronics and it was all there at the maker fair along with 40,000 + other people doing the same thing just to show my wife I wasnt completely nutz!
