I bought one of these sprayers and used it to spray water based polyurethane on a small VCarved box. I was very impressed with how well it performed. It's perfect for small jobs.

I'd be curious to know how well it would work with acrylic latex paints. Have you tried any water based paints. I'm sure it would have to be thinned out quit a bit.

I've only used it with water based polyurethane. I thinned it but not much. About 5 to 1. The directions say to thin paint 3 to 1.

The sprayer looked promising so I tried it a few months ago with thinned acrylic and it didn't work for me but maybe it would if I had thinned it even more.

I'd like to hear if someone has been successful with acrylic because the little sprayer would be handy for touch up or very small projects.

I've used Prevals for a lot of small and touch up jobs. The work great, especially if you are spraying something with a solvent, like shellac. I've used them with some Target Water-based lacquer and their Hybrivar varnish. You have to thin the material, but they do work.
