My columbo 3hp 3phase spindle frequency setting is maximum 300 and to warm it up I take it down to 150, the problem is that it takes for ever to move up and down through the frequency.
Is there a setting that I can change to make it quicker?

Ken,
If you are using a Delta VFD to control your Columbo spindle, then use the left arrow key on the Delta control pad to move between the digits on the digital readout. At power-up, the display is usually located on the right-most digit (the 1's), so you have to move down through 299, 298, etc. If you press the left arrow key first, you'll move over to the 10's, so you could then go from 300 to 290, 280, etc. Or you can move over to the 100's digit and go down to 200, 100, and so on.
Finally, the mode key on the keypad will switch you between frequency mode and RPM mode. Since I'm lazy and don't like to multiply all my display settings by 60, I always change the mode so that it displays RPM's instead. The arrow keys can then be used to change the RPM value to whatever speed you want.
I hope this helps. Regards.

VFD's are very versatile things. I have mine (a Hitachi, not delta, but they are all pretty similar) with a toggle switch on the outside of the box I have it mounted in that switches between the set speed and 120 Hz (about 7000rpm) for warm-up.
