I agree with Bill. I got a pop-up that started trying to download stuff to my machine. Shut it down immediately.

This site is safe, you must be getting false alarms, not sure but I wouldn't be concerned.

I'll second that, I've been using instructables for years. It's out of MIT Media Labs

However... Third party adware can hijack legitimate sites. If you have adware/malware on your machine all sites are potentialy problems.

Downoad and run regularly spybot search and destroy

I had no problem with the site.

The parts list says about $25. I bet there is some kids toy at the dollar store that could be gutted for parts.

The servo is the only unusual item that's probably not at radioshack. Check out the for sale area of rcgroups.com or post an ad looking for full size servos. Many rc flyers have moved away from the big analog servos and probably have some laying around. Might also check at the local flying field, though probably not much action there right now in colder parts of the country.
