Had a little free time in the shop today. I used someone else's design as inspiration, but I am planning on designing a few of my own soon.

Very nice
What kind of plywood is that? Is there any glue or is it all pressure fit?

Wow, I second that on being interested in making one if you feel generous enough to share the file.

All pressure fit, no glue. It comes apart for storage in seconds. The design is not ready for distribution yet. Still need a few tweeks.

This is what a ShopBot is all about-
To be able produce the ordinary-and then create the
extraordinary.
When I looked again at your chair- I realized you
created a work of art,Simple and Elegant!
Furniture designers are usually defined by the chairs they design. This is something really special you created.Congratulations!

Cool Gabe -
I love this type of plywood furniture - does anyone know of a resource online that collects designs for furniture that can be made of just one or two sheets of ply?
I know a lot of design schools use this type of exercise in their programs (design a chair out of 1 sheet no fasteners or something like that)

Larry,
Now that would be a cool chair to cut out on the bot. Is that design available anywhere or is this just something someone did a "one-off" of from your link?

oval seems to be in right now :0 I've been making these for a wile now. mine is much simpler in design and really easy to cut.

Erik,
Is that an available design somewhere or something you made yourself? I'd like to make a few of those. How is the center of gravity on those? You don't sway way back when you sit in them do you? cool

its my design, my company designs and makes a lot of Flat Pack stuff... took a while to figure out and a lot of proto types to prefect.. grand kids have lots of doll furniture now... HA! it is amazingly comfortable to sit in and because of the oval shape it would be pretty hard to roll over backwards. my hardest part now is having a consistent supply of plywood at a consistent thickness.
