Anyone ever get this error when opening the program?

If so, how did you fix it?

Thanks!

I usually close the program and reboot... but that's my answer to everything.

Wow mine usually closes itself, you need the Upgrade - kidding, I did the revision to XP, you know clear out all unnecessary background stuff & it seems to have improved.

Unfortunately, this isn't the Shopbot control computer, it's my desktop development machine, so I cannot lobotomize it.

It either has to do with the Windows Scripting Engine or the Microsoft Data Access Components. There are no footnotes, sadly...

I wanted to mention this since it could apply to this situation though not likely... but since you are searching from something subtle, proofing the hardware is always a good step.

I had a PC driving me nuts today, I was getting consistent popup errors from programs and trying to fix the issue was outlining all sorts of pain including editing the registry, replacing dll's etc... Drawing from past experience, I opted to do a full diag on hardware starting with the memory. In this case, sure enough near 849MB of the addressed memory there was one bit that failed. Literally one bit was stuck on 0. I replaced the memory and like magic the software worked.

I use the Ultimate Boot CD, http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

I have a CD and a USB thumb drive that's bootable. I can't tell you how many times it has answered questions or helped me recover data etc...

It's just a collection of free 3rd party diagnostic tools with a menu driven front end. It's not all pretty or prepackaged for the novice but I think most of you guys can easily figure it out. Many of you probably have already used some of the tools on it. Even with PC's that have built in diags, I still find useful tools on this CD.

Not affiliated, just thought many of you might want to put this in your tool box.

ooh, I've got a thumbdrive that would be good for that! Thanks!
