the way my setup is my computer and monitor and keyboard are facing the front of the bot but about 4' away. so I got a small keyboard to have by the bot for positioning and such. then I put a monitor on the wall so I could see what I was typing. but I have to look over my shoulder to see it.
I am working on a swing out arm to hold them monitor and keyboard and mouse. it will extend about 52" out from the way with two folding arms. I was wondering if anyone had a setup designed I could use verses working it all out myself?

metal would be easier for sure. though it won't look as cool as my wood one will (G)

Look in virtual show and tell. I recall seeing one that someone made that hung from the ceiling and traveled down a track and it held the monitor, keyboard and mouse i think.

I did a swing arm when I first got my shopbot. It works great.

here is what I cam up with. my first one would have been fine if I did not have have the swivel on the end. bit with that there was too much twist.
so I made the new section into a torsion box. this was all made from 1/2" ply.
I am debating on just moving my laptop to this and using this monitor for my main computer and have two.
I still need to hit it with the palm sander but I wanted to go home before 8pm.
