I want to relocate the second X drive motor on a 4G board to slot #5 for a rotary axis. The machine is a benchtop Shopbot so the second X drive motor is not used. It appears that the drive is simply pushed onto a series of 12 pins and it should fairly easy to pull the motor off of the pins.
When I pull on the motor I'm getting more resistance than expected. I don't see any fasteners that hold the motor in place. Should I be able to just pull the motor off? I'm afraid of doing damage to the motor and the board.

Every pin has a set screw in it from the side.

Some of the geckos are set up to where the pins can stay attached and it comes apart by sliding it to the side, but not all of them.

Thanks Ken,

I got it. They don't make it easy to remove the 12 tiny set screws.
