Looks good, However, I suppose it is only a matter of time until you decide to spend another $6 and upgrade to a full color.

Paul,
I had tried that but my tip got pushed up into the body. i may have needed to surface my table first as it did it not because i lowered it too low to begin with but somewhere along the path it did it. I'll have to try again.

my table wasn't quite level either, but level enough. I manually z-zeroed the pen then tried a depth of .025 - that got about 80% of it . I nudged it another .02 and it got about 95%. like you Jack, I didn't want to try ruining the marker, but since I was working with corrugated cardboard. it was more forgiving because of the flex in the material.
I am just using them for templates for ornamental iron.

If you use less duct tape and put a finish nail sideways thru the marker(not as messy as you might think). then run a string from one end of the nail up and over the router and down to the other end of the nail. the marker can float over the surface
or you can get a cool setup that uses brass tubes. they slide on each other to hold the sharpies.

that might be true but I am still trying to get the company to buy me fresh cardboard instead of piecing together scraps.
