Help, I just busted the front rack gear on my PRTAlpha being really dumb. Have a buddy with access to a shop full of parts and have several items I need to complete by 7:00 am tommorrow. I know it must match the pinions which are 20 degree pitch with a 14.5 degree pressure angle and are made by Browning. Does anybody have a firm answer as to idenitity of the rack gear used on this machine I can see no numbers .etc
Could wait til morning and contact Shopbot but my life will be miserable for a long time because of this very determined customer (rightfully so).

Terry,
Ordering it from ShopBot is the absolutely quickest way to get it. There few suppliers out there for this type of rack that will deal with small quantities. The customer will just have to wait...that's life.

Thanks Brady,
I actually got the parts done on the 'bot'. I removed the tensioner spring and let the drive hang clear of the rail. Dialed the cut speed way down and the ramping too. Ran with just one X drive and roasted three router bits but got the job done. Actually the cut quality looked good all things considered. Found 2 6 foot sections of rack gear from Browning with the same specs as what was on the 'bot' and tigged them together. Mounted them at 9:00 am this morning and have run all day till now. Total cost of $56 and one sleepless night. Good as new. Thanks again Brady
