Bar surface /top

A friend of mine asked me if I could make him a home wet bar top. Never done that before. But sure if I can make a signs, etc., I can do a small bar. Anyone have any pics of work they've done? Or links to sites that have info on that. I did some checking around but didn't find much useful, but then I'm not altogether web savvy. If I could get a little direction from someplace I'm sure I could figure it out.
