Shopbot Bit Starter Set / Tapered 3 flute end mill

All,

I purchased 2 of the starter bit sets when I ordered my bot...

Most of the bits, I can understand the use for... But there is one that I dont.. its an "End Mill, Tapered, 3 flute, 1/5inch". I called support on this, and they said it was used when you are 3d carving after probing... Is this what you guys are using this bit for?

that bit is used for 2.5 & 3d carving.

the length of the bit allows for roughing while finish carving as well as deeper releif work.
