In last march (2007) students called me to request sponsorship for their Mini-BAJA competition (http://www.cdrummond.qc.ca/minibaja/index_fichiers/Page1275.htm). Basically, they design a all terrain vehicle (based on specifications) and compete for the best design and capabilities. They ran into a problem with their previous sponsor so they were quite in a last minute rush... I (USINUM (http://www.cooptel.qc.ca/~usinum/)) agreed to help.
They needed their Mini-BAJA's body molds (http://picasaweb.google.com/the.real.paco/CEGEPDeDrummundvilleMiniBAJAProjects/photo#5057147019720492066) milled so we decided to slice the models then mill the slices from 1 inch thick MDF so they could built up the molds to thermoformed the body covers and shields (http://picasaweb.google.com/the.real.paco/CEGEPDeDrummundvilleMiniBAJAProjects/photo#5057147019720492082).
Just a few days ago, I received the competition result and they end up 13 out of 75 team.
