Can someone tell me a good place to find the (I assume) engraving bits to carve lithopanes. Dought if I spelled that right but you know what I mean. Also I have an HSD spildle so I will need collet help too.

You can use a 60 degree v bit just use a setting for a .04 ballnose. but you can crank the speed up to as fast as the machine can go. no real chance of breaking a bit.
MSC carries then for about 16.00 each I think

I go to my local machinist supply and buy 1/8th shank 1/32", 1/16" or 1/8" ball mills for $10 each, give or take. I've done incredibly detailed lithos 2" X 3" with the 1/32" ball mill. Rough pass with an eighth first.

The same ball mills work great for small 3D work.

You can also get 1/4" to 1/8" adapters from most machinist supply or good router supply/repair places.

here is a little info on using vbits for the job. since they are far stronger you can speed up the cut by quite a bit.
though I find if you working with 1/4" or less material you don't need a rough pass.

Thanks for all the help guys. I have the 60 deg V bit that came with the Bot. At least I can play with one until I can tool up. Plus not having to buy a collet is nice too.
