just add pictures one on top of each other (one per line) so it looks like this when added:
7828
7829
7830
you can go to "upload attachment" more than once per post. The code will look like this when you do:
popjpeg{37007,}
popjpeg{37008,}
popjpeg{37009,}
(slash deleted so as not to upload them)
Tell "Pookie", i mean Angus, not to get perplexed thats what we're here for! good luck

Boy I hope they included a bag of peanuts in the case!
The only thing that keeps me in the house right now is that the shop is not permanently heated
and 12 degrees is too darn cold, ever for playing with the shopbot..
[but my design machine is in my office ....]

I still think shopbot should include an extra strange looking brace painted bright red with "Placement Critical" written on it. You could always toss one in for him! :-)
Congrats and keep us posted on how it's going!

Bob,
I have no heat or insulation in my shop but I went out and bought one of those "Reddyheaters", you know the one that looks and sounds like the back of a f-16 and within 5 minutes i'm working in a Tshirt in 30 degree weather.

I have a little heater that is propane fired and does fine but there is oder from the exhaust which sometimes bothers me.
Because the shop is on the back of the garage and it is attached to the house, I "can" run Pex from the house, through the garage (heavily insulated to contain heat) and then into the shop using standard force hot water registers for about $400... I will definitely have heat next year because I will want to be in a production mode by that time. This would also keep the equipment at an even temperature.
My little heater (Mr. heat) will get me into the 50 degree environment in 20 minutes and 70 in 30 minutes... It is VERY noisy to have it on while working in there...and the dog will not come into the shop when it is running because of the noise...

Angus has something similar to that for the garage. The shop itself is heated (I think!) but the garage where the bot is is freezing if he doesn't have the heater on.
And yes, the noise is deafening!

I don't have any weather related issues. I just set my Bot up in the living room. It worked great for a couple of hours but then I started getting a high pitched scream. Scared me to death. I thought I had cut into a rail or something. When I hit the emergency off switch I discovered that it was just my wife getting home from work. :-)
Merry Christams everyone!!!

Jim,
as a friend would say... "And he did even hear his wife pull the trigger"
Merry Christmas ... time to make a couple of joke gifts on the fly with the Bot for people at work...

Angus,
I remember that day quite well. It was very exciting! Here in southern California it has gotten down to a freezing 50 degrees at night. Good thing for the fein vacs to heat up the shop. I have been trying to lay up some laminates, but with this cold rainy weather it has been a nightmare.

No problem, I completely understand. I may try and swing by your way next time I have to pick something up in Norfolk...been doing some importing lately.
The laser and bot really compliment each other. I'm just now working on my super dooper interchangable spoilboard which will let me plunk down indexed corian jigs on both. It's gonna be a busy year for us both I bet just figuring out the capabilities of these machines together.

I'm curious if Angus has doubled the chances of the fire dept. showing up again with the laser AND the shop bot.

On a serious note, fire is a real danger as other Shopboters have learned. ->Link (http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/messages/312/29351.html?1210783456)
Please make sure you know where the fire extinguishers are. Friends of ours who had a house fire last week said the smoke damage was a significant issue.
