It's a bad day for routers at my shop. First, my 2 year old milwaukee went out on me. The tachometer that sits on top of the router spindle finally shattered into several small pieces. It's gonna be two weeks for parts so I reach for the trusty original PC router, well, it works fine when I take the cover off but not at all with it on. So I send my wife 50 miles up the road for a brand new Milwaukee, YEEHAW!. I hooked everything up and let 'er rip. Twenty minutes into the file and the tach on the new router breaks! I managed to remove the loose piece and finish cutting my parts but man, this is rediculous! Any of you Milwaukee users had similar trouble? Kip

No, but I sure go through a lot of bearings on mine.

I still prefer it over the PC though.

I also like the router but feel that the bearings are not as long lasting as they should be!
